Dive London athlete Mille Rowell secured a gold medal at the G Star 2023 competition, prevailing over formidable opponents on March 17th to 19th.
Our premier diving club, Dive London has produced gold medal performances from the likes of Tom Daley, Matty Lee, Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix, Grace Reid and Kyle Kothari at Olympic, World and Commonwealth Games competitions.
In the recent competition, Millie was the star performer as she clinched the top prize in the 1m dive for the 14-15 age category.
Meanwhile, Myia Richards made a comeback from a shoulder injury that had a significant impact on her training, to compete in her first 3m event of the year.
Rowell said: “I’m delighted with the result, especially as I was diving against talented competitors.”
She will now be looking to take her winning momentum into the British Junior Elite Championships on 13th-16th April.
Coach Robyn Birch added: “It’s a great result for Millie and will give her lots of confidence moving forward.
“She will be making the step up from Age Group diving to the Elite standards this year, and to get a win under the belt is the perfect stepping stone in this process.”
