London Aquatics Centre welcomed Social Enterprise UK and delegates in September

Social Enterprise UK and a number of international delegates were welcomed to the London Aquatics Centre earlier this month, where they learnt about the Olympic Legacy at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the partnership with GLL.

We were delighted to host a number of international delegates and Social Enterprise UK who are a leading global authority on social enterprise and have the biggest network within the UK. Mark Robinson, Head of External Affairs for London Legacy Development Corporation met with the group to discuss the Olympic Legacy, the success of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the many future plans for the park.

The group also learnt more about GLL the social enterprise that manages London Aquatics Centre and how as a charitable social enterprise the aim is to do good in the communities we operate in and invest any surplus money we make back into our services, from Chris Miles Commercial Events Director at London Aquatics Centre.

The group enjoyed a tour of London Aquatics Centre before moving onto the Copper Box Arena, where they learnt more about the history of the venue and the many community, cooperate and public events that are held throughout the year.
