Dive London enjoyed plenty of medal success at the SEER Regional Skills 2023 competition in Southend.
Our premier diving academy took a team of divers to the event in a bid to qualify for the National Skills final.
Dive London secured two gold medals and three silver medals across the events with Liam Wilson-Roberts, 7, and Max Goodwin, 15, both landing the top spot in their respective categories of Group E and Group B+ boys.
Max, who competed in the 14-16 years category, has recently progressed through the Talent ID programme after transferring from a gymnastics background and is showing promise to move up levels in his diving pathway.
Gold medallist Liam Wilson-Roberts said: “The competition was great fun and I can’t wait to do another one already.”
The academy also had Adelyn Richards, 8, picked up a silver medal in the Group E girls, Jared Hull, 10, bagged second place in Group D boys, while Connor Craydon, 11, secured a silver medal in Group C boys.
Other club divers’ hit the necessary qualification standards in order to represent Dive London at the National Skills finals later this year while others will work towards the London Regional Skills events at London Aquatics Centre later this month.
Dive London Head Coach, Sam Buck, said: "These divers are just at the start of their competitive careers so we place a huge emphasis on enjoyment and learning.
“The successes seen are a tribute to the divers’ hard work over the last few months and every single one of them can be proud of their achievements."
